About the project
Mindful Scouts is an Erasmus+ youth project that explores how the Scout Method and nature-based learning can support the mental health and well-being of young people.
Under the title “Foster mental health of young people by using the scout method,” the Mindful Scouts project brings together partners from Slovakia, Spain, and Greece.
What is Erasmus+?
Erasmus+ is the European Union programme that supports education, training, youth, and sport in Europe. It promotes learning, cooperation, mobility, inclusion, and the exchange of good practices between organisations from different countries.
Mindful Scouts was funded under KA210-YOU – Small-scale partnerships in youth, a type of project designed to support international cooperation on concrete and relevant youth work needs.

Create, and test tools utilizing scout methods and nature interactions to improve youth mental health.
Comprehensive Toolbox
Develop an eBook for youth workers that includes activities promoting connection to nature, supporting physical and mental health.
Promote Nature for Reflection
Engaging with decision-makers to influence supportive policies for integrating nature-based activities in youth work.
Motivation
The project seeks to address the rising mental health challenges among youth, exacerbated by global crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. It aims to fill the gap in accessible mental health resources, utilizing the scout method and nature interactions. The initiative aligns with the EU Youth Strategy, particularly focusing on mental health and well-being, and emphasizes social inclusion.
