The Mindful Scouts project officially began with the Kick-Off Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) held in Slovakia, bringing together the partner organisations from Slovakia, Spain, and Greece. This first face-to-face meeting was an important milestone, as it created the foundation for effective cooperation, shared understanding, and the successful implementation of the project “Foster mental health of young people by using the Scout Method.”

From the very beginning, the meeting played a key role in aligning the partners around a common vision. The consortium reviewed the project’s objectives, expected results, timeline, responsibilities, and working methods, ensuring that all organisations shared the same understanding of the project’s direction. This was especially important for a partnership that combines different kinds of expertise: scouting and outdoor education, youth work and quality assurance, and digital innovation with dissemination.

During the TPM, special attention was given to the management and implementation structure of the project. The partners discussed the distribution of tasks, internal communication procedures, planning tools, deadlines, reporting expectations, and the general workflow that would support the project throughout its duration. Establishing these foundations early was essential for ensuring a smooth and coordinated implementation process, especially in an international partnership where roles, timing, and collaboration need to be clearly defined.

The Kick-Off TPM was also the moment when the partners began shaping the project’s main results in a more concrete way. Discussions focused on the future development of the Toolkit, the OER platform, and the educational methodology behind the project. The meeting gave each partner the opportunity to contribute its own perspective and expertise, helping the consortium build a shared approach that would later be reflected in the project outputs. In this way, the TPM was not only about administration and planning, but also about building the educational and strategic identity of the project.
